‘AbsolutUnsa’, a French-German duo release a new single “Obéis”
Obey…
« To your life, to your freedom… it’s a legacy for my children, our children,
all children, as well as for big children.
So as not to fall into the traps of extremes, frustrations, conspiracy, racism…
Respecting a few basic rules and mocking the rest, finding oneself, living one’s life,
breathing, becoming everything one wants to be without getting too stressed. »
Sara and Sylvain met in Cologne, between Berlin and Lyon, and formed a French/German group. Despite their differences, their chemistry developed over time as a consequence of hard work, complete openness, uncompromising sharing, and a developing passion for their differences and interactions. We don’t aim to be the other; instead, we try to harmonize, complement, and connect even in our “flaws” in order to bring out the positive traits. Two worlds, two lives, two very separate realities that have collided in a variety of ways. Our initial intention was simply to have a good time musically.
A debut EP has been released. We simply had one goal in mind: ten years from now, our future selves would appreciate hearing our simple compositions. We were overjoyed with this initial accomplishment, both in terms of the work and the end outcome, and our friends and family began to join in. So we pushed the journey a little further, not only by working on our own inventions, but also by listening to piano and vocal records by French, German, and other musicians.
We compose in this way, through improvisation. Something pleases us, brings us together, and we pull the strings, whether it’s a piece of text or a tune played on the piano or with the help of a glass bottle. We move on to the electro part when the acoustic part is over since it resonates with us as well. We began with the classic Akai MPC, which had recently been re-released as the MPC Renaissance, and have progressed to the X version today.
