Abstract Art by Katie Pederson: Review
“Abstract Art” is an elegant piano-driven track that embodies a magical melody. Katie Pederson is based in Nashville, and her sweet voice splashes color all across the song. There is a remarkable rhythm structure in the entire track full of vibrant piano arrangements, guitar chords, percussion, and bass. But, among all of these, the star of the show is Katie’s clean vocals which have a classic pop vibe.
What I truly enjoyed was every chord and note from each instrument, it was built to perfection. Aside from that, Katie’s lyricism is also quite stunning. As the track began, it started in a subtle state with just the piano and Katie’s angelic voice creating a background of emotion and heart. Afterward, when the rest of the instrumentation kicks in, and the song is in full gear, you’ll feel the sensation of high-spirited guitar and a groovy bass line that follows too. The guitar fillers follow the style of country and a bit of blues too. What I admire in an artist is the ability to make good melodic transitions that sound catchy. Thus, Katie excels in that very department, this is because the cadence of her singing is truly catchy and easy on the ears.
Whether you’re on the road or enjoying the calmness of raindrops on your window, this song will hit you nonetheless. Within the track, exists some of the most beautiful compositions I have ever heard in a long while. There are also these distinct, and minimal layers from the guitar bits, that sound so darn good. Overall “Abstract Art” is a magnificent pop track that is truly soothing!
