Quebec City’s punk powerhouse, The 351’s, is back with Against All Odds, a blistering EP packed with raw energy, rebellious anthems, and an unrelenting attitude that makes you want to punch the air. Dropping on February 7th, this release proves that Kev Berrigan (vocals/guitar), Dom Rudester (bass/backing vocals), and Martin ‘Tin’ Gagné (drums/backing vocals) are still loud, still furious, and still raising hell. With a sound that fuses classic ’80s punk grit with the punch of Aussie pub rock, the band delivers four tracks of pure, unfiltered defiance.
“King of Nuthin’” kicks off the EP with a head-first dive into gritty, crashing guitars and thundering drums. Berrigan’s voice cuts through the chaos like a battle cry, packing enough conviction to shake the walls. The chorus? Absolute fire—catchy, anthemic, and impossible to forget. Then “Devil’s Daughter” takes a sharp turn, opening with a groovy reggae-inspired riff that hooks you instantly. The hypnotic bass and laid-back drumbeat lull you in before the track erupts into a full-blown punk explosion. Berrigan’s raspy, nonchalant vocals add an effortlessly cool edge, while the bridge charges up with a furious, bustling guitar solo that hits like a lightning strike.
If there’s one track destined to be on repeat, it’s “Glass of Mosh Pit Blood”. With soaring harmonies, scorching guitar work, and an irresistibly anthemic feel, this one is tailor-made for fists-in-the-air singalongs. The opening burst of melodic, gritty riffs instantly commands attention, while the relentless drum rolls keep the energy at maximum throttle. Finally, “Rupture” closes things out at breakneck speed, racing through rapid-fire guitar riffs and relentless drumming, with vocals that sound like they’re barely keeping up—just the way punk should be.
Fast, fierce, and full of fight, Against All Odds is a shot of pure adrenaline straight to the veins. Stay tuned with The 351’s on Spotify.
