Alexandre Elias drops catchy new song ‘California Dreamin’’

The second single from Alexandre Elias’ forthcoming album, ‘California Dreamin’. While traveling to Los Angeles, Alexandre had the inspiration to record the song because he was missing his hometown of Rio de Janeiro and was experiencing home sickness. Although he was missing home, he was also falling in love with Los Angeles as he noticed how much it reminded him of Rio. He therefore made the decision to use music to unite the two cities by reinterpreting a well-known Californian song in the style of Rio’s Bossa Nova.
He began writing play soundtracks in the early 2000s, and in 2011 he oversaw the musical direction of ‘Tim Maia, Vale Tudo’, a musical theater production about the legendary Brazilian singer-songwriter Tim Maia. Elias was well compensated and the show was a huge success. He has been putting all of his effort into his solo work as a guitarist, producer, and composer since 2019. He combines instrumental hip-hop, beats, and modern jazz.
