ARRO releases mesmerizing cover of ‘The Scientist’
ARRO, a musician, producer, and songwriter from Nashville, performs a surreal, atmospheric cover of Coldplay’s ‘The Scientist’. In this tasteful cover, ARRO collaborates with producer Miles Busby to use a variety of genre-bending techniques that draw inspiration from popular jazz, hip-hop, and country western records to create a rich and distinctive atmosphere. While remaining rooted in the original vocal melody of the original version, ARRO’s delicate but precise vocals float above a cascade of reverb.
The cover of ‘The Scientist’ by ARRO initially had a completely different goal in mind. The song on the album was originally intended to be an instrumental that would later be turned into a song. However, ARRO and Miles found that the chord progression they had created was the perfect complement to the melody of ‘The Scientist’. The song originated when this notion finally made sense. This is the first time ARRO and Miles Busby have worked together, though it is certain that it won’t be the last. Miles added his distinctive tasty keys throughout the arrangement.
