Ryan Slatko drops catchy new song titled ‘AM-FM’
With pride, Ryan Slatko made available his single ‘AM-FM’. Since his 2017 debut album, ‘First Impressions’, with Ulysses Owens Jr. on drums and production, Linda Oh on bass, Joel Ross on vibraphone, Daniel Dickinson on alto saxophone, and Samir Zarif on tenor saxophone, this is Slatko’s first release in five years. Slatko self-released both ‘First Impressions’ and ‘AM-FM’.
Joshua Roberts on drums, Ben Tiberio on bass, and Jared Yee on tenor saxophone make up ‘AM-FM’. This track’s musicians all recorded it at their homes. This will be the first of many single releases to come as Slatko gets ready for a new album that will be released in the very near future. This song marks a significant shift in Slatko’s style from more conventional acoustic jazz instrumentations to more electric and perhaps “fusion-inspired” instrumentations. Additionally, a music video for ‘AM-FM’ will be posted on YouTube.
