Astronaut by Richard Green: Review

The otherworldly musical facet of Astronaut by Richard Green is simply impressive. Upon hearing the artist’s track, I couldn’t quite define the genre’s state. Is it classical music? Is it part electronica? Well, mish-mash those together and you’ve got a perfect danceable tune for any symphony enthusiast or party animal. Either way, the track is a nice vibe to hear indeed.
Fully instrumental in nature, the track “Astronaut” blends together silky violin sections with electronica-style keys and some light beats. The overall element of the tune isn’t quite in line with EDM but has subtle concepts of it. In my twenties, being immersed in the realm of club music and anthemic dance numbers resonated within me. Delving deep into variations always piqued my interest, so an odd beat here and there was gonna be my jam either way, as long the melody’s tight that is. So, the jazzy dance vibes of “Astronaut” was a nice surprise and a joy to hear. This is especially the case for the violin sections, as it was a fine addition to the upbeat rhythm segments. Apart from the melodic grit of the track, there’s also this aroma of eeriness present in some parts of the track that pertains to the feeling of getting lost in space!
Elfo studio a prominent studio located in Italy was the chosen destination for the recording of the track. Understanding this fact made me realize that the track does have some layers of European-style rhythm patterns, and even a sound that could fit the Italian theme a bit!
