KLTโs new album, Beauty of Change, released on Jazz Family in May 2024, is a captivating exploration of emotions wrapped in a sophisticated jazz soundscape. Led by vocalist Jessy Elsa Palma, the KLT trio collaborates with a range of talented musicians to create a global listening experience.
The album opens with โSpecial Guest. โ Relaxing piano melodies intertwine with haunting orchestral strings by the Taiwan-based Interestring Quartet. Palmaโs rich voice, laced with a touch of vibrato, carries sincerity, yearning and loneliness, and draws the listener into the emotional core of the album.
Beauty of Change showcases Palmaโs impressive vocal range in โLife is a Long Road,โ where she delivers breathy, airy vocals that float over a slow piano and rustling percussion by Jรฉrรดme Calcinรฉ and Thierry Faroppa from La Rรฉunion. The bridge features trumpet contributions from Daphnis Moglia recorded in New York, which flourish with depth.
A shift in mood arrives with โI Belong to You,โ a romantic and soulful duet featuring The Joyful KeY. Their contrasting vocals, his deep and hers delicate, create a beautiful harmony as they weave a tale of devotion and love.
The album concludes with a surprising twist. โLocked in Paradise โ JANOLS Remixโ takes the original song and single and transforms it completely. The brooding undertone and groovy beat replace the originalโs orchestral elements and Palmaโs soaring vocals with catchy verses.
Listen to KLTโs orchestral and majestic Beauty of Change that features the best musical talents around the world.
