Beware Wolves Vol 1 by Beware Wolves: Album Review
Beware Wolves, the first of many, but the only one with 9 riveting folksy and ballsy tracks, is the start of an amazing music revolution that makes the project Beware Wolves one of the bravest in this genre to put out music that breaks all barriers.
What the album reflects is his distinctive blend of catchy stories, rousing acoustic guitar playing, and heartfelt singing. The lyrics aren’t just your typical American country music type, they are quite shimmering and have their own brilliance if you listen closely and want to resonate on a deeper level with Beware Wolves. In addition to various tempo shifts on guitar and some interesting vocal syncopations, this collection is mostly phenomenal thanks to Don Bartley and his intuitive brilliance. One of the tracks that I absolutely enjoyed is “After the War”, which is emotional, in contrast to the upbeat energy of the song. With one acoustic after another, the uber-talented Beware Wolves waves goodbye, each a magical elixir to my ear.
At least give yourself the space to listen to the 9 previews, or just take a leap of faith and head to Spotify or your favorite streaming platform to listen to the fully released album “Beware Wolves” wrapped in their signature midnight blue art and a unique sigil that marks this as a creation of its own.
