Spanish experimental outfit Sehore returns with their second full-length album Husfikbur, a genre-defying collection that doubles as a musical mirror and a surreal joke, one that only the bold and the humorously inclined will fully appreciate. Following their award-winning debut Ladencia (which bagged a Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards 2025), Husfikbur continues their eccentric exploration of kitsch, philosophy, and sound art, blending the absurd with the sublime. True to its concept, the album plays with the idea of reflection like a shop window presenting the memory, irony, and melancholy you canโt buy back to you. Recorded at Paco Loco Studio and mastered by Mario G. Alberni at Kadifornia, academic theory and musical playfulness dance cheek to cheek. โBla bla bla (Cha Cha Cha)โ bursts to life with a bustling rhythm and vintage, futuristic, and theatrical mischief. The guitars churn and rev like a neon engine, gritty yet oddly elegant, while the thumping percussive base keeps the whole thing grooving in a chaotic dance. The airy vocals arrive not so much sung as performed. The singer loops the titular phrases โbla bla blaโ and โcha cha chaโ lazily and drunkenly, which somehow becomes hypnotic, conveying much of the monotony of constancy and long-winded communication alongside the meaninglessness and purposelessness with the repetition.
By the midpoint, the song becomes a whirl of sound with laughter, rhythm, and irony colliding in a blur of movement. The charm lies in its deliberate nonsense, as it pokes fun at its own sophistication. Husfikbur may be a labyrinth of concepts, but โBla bla bla (Cha Cha Cha)โ is its pulsing, mischievous heart.
