Multi gold and platinum awarded Swedish alt-pop artist, songwriter and LGBTQ icon Melanie Wehbe’s forthcoming album “Bloom,” set off in spring of 2022, as a discography of beautiful songs aligned with the artist’s self-expression. Everything about this album is liberating that conveys her raw talent – from incredibly articulated lyrics to the melodies sung, as in all her singles before.

The album kicked off with an uplifting bold pop number “Like I Do” – three minutes of empowerment, preposterously slept on in my opinion! The June release “All the Rest” comes as a self-affirming ballad for those of us who are caught up in trying to mimic someone else’s life or following their footsteps. The self-titled release “Bloom,” will surely send shivers down your spine with an orchestral composition of effortless instrumentals, chugging guitar, sustained chords and Melanie’s raw emotions. In “Nothing Like You,” there’s a beacon of hope with Melanie’s recognizable combination of soft and soaring vocals, which she performed life at the Stockholm Pride 2022. While “Rules” sounds on the verge of peaking on its own as a single over contemporary instrumentals and powerful vocals, it’s perfectly synced with the theme of the album, a graceful revolution to stand proud as you are.

Melanie keeps proving that she can take the simplest of words and mingle exceptional, cutting-edge tunes to create masterpieces. She took her time releasing each song, giving her listeners enough window to listen, process, add to their daily playlist and repeat over 86 times until the next arrival.
