Bolo Bolo’s “Liquid Heaven” has an official music video.
Bollo Bollo is a new four-piece band based in Buckinghamshire, England. They’ve recently released the first track from their debut album, I’ve Got a Good Feeling About This.
This song, titled “Liquid Heaven,” is joyful yet brooding indie-dream pop. A fun video was published for the song.
“‘Liquid Heaven’ is a song about alcoholism and the terrible routine-like cycle it may become, which you can’t seem to break free from.” “We wanted to contrast the lyrics’ serious nature with an up-tempo atmosphere and snappy vocal delivery – almost like finding the light in the dark,” guitarist Sonny Ford explains.
This mission statement is taken to the next level by the music video that was produced accompanying the popular single. As we watch a man try to overcome his orange addiction, we see a tongue-in-cheek spiral towards madness. It’s a powerful metaphor, especially when you consider that for the duration of the video, we don’t hear anything except the song — all speech is communicated through subtitles. Perhaps this is intended to give the audience a glimpse into how all-consuming addiction can be – our protagonist’s need is essentially the only sound he hears.
