Bromsen Releases Smashing New Soundtrack ‘The Photograph’

With their second single released on 2 December 2022, ‘The Photograph’, Berlin indietronic duo Bromsen returns to their roots. It’s a trip back in time to Berlin in the early 2000s, when their former band “the pampelmuse” was active. In fact, the song was co-written with their former bandmate, Manzari, and it contains a touch of their pampelmuse sound. Karlo and Richard, along with their fellow members of pampelmuse, performed in nearly every Berlin indie rock club during the mid-2000s. The band disbanded in 2006, shortly before their rumored breakthrough, and it was many years before Richard and Karlo reconnected and formed Bromsen in 2021.
The song is about the rock’n’roll dreams we had when we were young, which have faded like a photograph, but something from that special perspective on life stays with you forever, so the negative is still there, but nobody knows exactly where it is (and maybe we don’t want to know, we just want to celebrate this feeling).
The Berlin duo have poured their hearts and souls into this distinctive track, drawing inspiration from faded photographs and the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. The result is a hauntingly beautiful journey that immerses listeners in a world of lost memories and forgotten dreams. What is truly remarkable about ‘The Photograph’ is the way in which Bromsen has captured the essence of these emotions through inventive and densely layered sonic metaphors. The song creates an immersive experience that is both raw and psychedelic by fusing together moments of intricate emotion and horror-tinged uncertainty.
