When You Know by Feverjaw: Review
The South Welsh rock band Feverjaw is back with their first song of 2023, titled โWhen You Knowโ, and itโs sure to get their fans excited for more new music. This song has all the hallmarks of a Feverjaw song: itโs catchy, simple, and has a distinctive earworm of a tune. Itโs perfect for a festival crowd since itโs energetic and anthemic and was written in 2022 between live shows.
Frontman Dale Hawkins said the song is about making the most of the current moment and embracing the day. The band recorded the song at their home studio, finding the experience to be straightforward and the final product to their liking. Feverjaw is one of the newest guitar-driven bands to emerge from the vibrant South Wales scene, and although their approach is rooted in alternative rock, they paint their songs with broad strokes of color. Thereโs a touch of nostalgia in โWhen You Know,โ which transports you back to the rock era of the late โ90s. One could easily see the Foo Fighters releasing this back in the day, but with hazier vocal hooks.
The guitars in this song, especially during the chorus when they are cranked to eleven, are massive and enveloping. Easily one of the highlights of their live performances, this rock and roll treat lasts for around five minutes. Feverjaw have also announced the March 24th release of their five-song EP โIntention of Maliceโ, which features this amazing alternative rock song, and serves as an awesome introduction to their upcoming release.
