Cellophane Radio by Murnau: Album Review
If youโre a fan of the raw intensity within alternative rock and grunge, then the music of Murnau should be on your radar. Their 7-piece album entitled โCellophane Radioโ is filled with lionhearted melodies imbued with a touch of freedom. It pertains to a sound of a killer road trip with your allies. This is because, with the uplifting and fierce guitar sounds, along with a smashing pumpkins-esque voice ascends as the life of the party.
The raging storm of โBaltic Seaโ is a powerful anthem that fills your ears with the notion of classic alternative rock effects. You got your angsty vocal lines, a guitar that screams rebellion, and choruses that light the fire for an army of fans to headbang. Moodier tracks such as
โDear Darknessโ brings out the haunting nature of experimentation and avant-garde to the forefront of alternative rock. The track has an almost dream-like quality with the swaying nature of the guitar riffs. In addition to the vocalistโs ability to passionately sing within the holiness of their spirit, feels quite extraordinary. Once we reach โRepentโ then itโs all about the groove. The guitarist believed that rock has a funky specialization and theyโll gladly major in it. Reflected upon the short-time signatures of the riffs, it adds a nice math rock finesse to the song.
The music of Murnau has the soulful embodiment of goth powered by gripping nature punk rock. It is indeed a fantastic combination that seems to rock out perfectly.
