Dazed by Alan Peck: Review
With his latest release Dazed, Alan Peck has created a tune that successfully combines the best elements of RnB from the 1990s with hints of the future. He has positioned himself front and center vocally to make the song stand out by concentrating on a few key minimalisms that highlight his own unique talent and songwriting.
With a clean electric guitar reverberating through the atmosphere, Alan Peck captivates the listeners and takes them on a journey through the sound of soulful RnB with his seductive silky smooth vocals. He may sing about how heโs not perfect, but the command he has over his vocals and how expressive it is, is just perfect. His vocal transitions over a steady beat and slowly strummed guitars can even make the heartless fall in love. ย
On the instrumental side of the song, we hear a really tranquil work of art that takes certain risks without going too far outside its comfort zone. Even while Alanโs incredible voice plays a role in establishing that mood at the outset, he amps up the songโs dynamic vibe and truly lets free as it progresses with the reverberating guitars and the steady percussion that never gets too in-your-face. Mixing the elements of jazz, soul, and fusion with RnB Alan has created a soulful romantic slow jam that can really set up the mood on that special occasion.
