Let Sinners Fly by Second Adam & the New Creation: Review
Second Adam & the New Creations is the solo project of Indie Christian-Rocker Abram Germano. This New York nativeโs mission is to bring honor and glory to God through his music. As a part of this endeavor, his latest release Let Sinners Fly glorifies God as the one who saves us and blesses us with eternal peace.
Lyrically, this song is full of direct references from the Bible praising the Lord in all His glory and praying in full submission. The song in and of itself can be used as a prayer word to word. ย It begs YHWH to save us wretched sinners, to bring us from spiritual death into His glorious light. Separately, He establishes and dismantles independent states. Atheists can understand the vast majority of it, with the possible exception of the definition of sin. However, the artistโs pronunciation of YHWH may be objectionable to certain Jews.
Musically, upon hearing the songโs genre, one might expect the song to sound something like Skillet or Switchfoot. But this is where theyโre in for a pleasant surprise. With heavy guitars and bass that cut through the mix with hard-hitting drums, instrumentally the โbandโ sounds somewhat similar to Black Sabbath or Katatonia with a modern indie twist. The airy clean vocals go hand-in-hand with the heavy guitars and absolutely captivate the listeners like the solemn prayer it is.
