Dermot Kennedy reveals music video for his new song “Dreamer” and teases album “Sonder.”

Dermot Kennedy promises to be around through thick and thin in his most recent song, “Dreamer.” The tender ballad is the second official single off the newly announced sophomore studio album by the singer-songwriter, Sonder, which is scheduled for release on September 23 via Island Records.
Chirolles Khalil, the director of the music video for “Dreamer,” has Kennedy sitting at the piano as memories whirl around him. He sings with a sympathetic appeal, “I promise that there’ll still be days the sun doesn’t rise / I promise that I’ll make you laugh everytime you cry.” I genuinely just want to be in your thoughts. Isn’t that worth something?
The eagerly anticipated follow-up to Kennedy’s debut Without Fear, “Dreamer,” is previewed alongside the previously released tracks “Something to Someone” and “Better Days.” The singer said of Sonder, whose meaning encompasses the knowledge that every individual you come into contact with has a life that is just as complicated and vivid as your own: “The message behind ‘Sonder’ has resonated with me so much for years.”
He said, “I work in a field where we’re constantly told to simply concentrate about ourselves, and I find it exhausting and uninspiring. “I’m curious about you. Let’s discuss all of our victories and challenges together. Let each of us be able to access this music and discover our own stories and peace inside it.
Currently on tour with Shawn Mendes, Kennedy entertains tens of thousands of people every night, many of whose lives are as complicated as his own. He will perform as the headlining act in seven concerts throughout the year in Ohio, Columbus, Maine, Virginia, Indiana, New York, and California.
