Devil / Murder by MINT: Review
Addiction is a path for anyone to walk down. MINT is one such band whose music is about letting go of the demons destroying your life with harmful vices. With that being said, โDevilโ and โMurderโ are two beautiful progressive indie tracks that you should definitely experience!
Both tracks are filled with heartfelt emotions. The vivid display of rock and roll talent, and innovative indie music mechanics was interesting to witness as the two numbers were mashed together in one music video. Hearing it all together gave me the intuition about a timeless journey in oneโs life. From the melancholic backdrop of symphonies to the cadence of the guitars, the songโs essence was truly fruitful. Aside from that, the singerโs passion and energy gave the track the justice it needed and a powerful ascension. One of my cherished moments was in โMurderโ when some ultra-groovy guitar bits entered the premise where the reverb played a big part. It was a nice addition to the overall rhythm section and gave it a nice punch whenever I heard the track.
โDevilโ feels like more of an ode to the self, accompanied by soothing orchestral sections, youโll just feel the pain after the track ends. There is beauty in pain, only when salvation occurs, so the music and lyrics did a fine job of depicting that. The bandโs presence is felt throughout both songs, and I urge anyone who enjoys deeply personal melodies to give them a shot!
