Dreams by Caruso: Review
Spotify’s verified and conceivably adult contemporary artist Caruso releases his debut single ‘Dreams’ in September of 2022 reflecting on dreams that seem complicated and cryptic but oh, so simplistic. It boasts a large composition of guitar, bass, and drums with massive catchy hooks which depict an indie pop style.
Kicking it off with a beautiful electric guitar melody, Caruso sings in anticipatory and steady rhythms. 10 seconds into the song, you’ll fall in love with the instrumentals in this track. The simple drumbeat fits well with the guitar riffs and Caruso’s vocals which sound like you’ve tuned in to your favorite radio station. In his voice, there’s a certain raspy texture, a familiar grittiness that you takes you back to the later 90s and early 2000s rock lead vocal sensations.
Something warm and mellow with a lot of ground underneath the guitar solo shines through while the jangly and bright backdrop keeps playing. . I particularly love the bridge, evoking the pounding emotion of the upcoming chorus. This can’t be labeled as a slow jam because the chorus remains an earworm in a heavy rotation, which keeps this dreamy soundscape somewhat energetic.
I can’t wait to listen to more of him in his upcoming projects. But until then, tune into him on Spotify and find it out for yourself how A. Caruso has the potential to become a leading name of his own kind and appeal to listeners who love soft and indie rock.
