Drown by Inkakai: Review
The band Inkakai consists of professional musicians from Finland, Japan, and the United States. Inkakai’s influences are Linkin Park, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Deftones, and other such bands. “Drown” was recorded and produced in their own studio, mixed by Tim Palmer, and mastered by Svante Forsback.
It begins with the synth keys and the distorted guitars, bass, drums, and keyboard enter one by one. With a drum roll, everything explodes as the powerful soaring vocals enter and the song changes and become more ambient and flavorful. The beautifully punchy drums give the vibe of Nirvana and Foo Fighters, and the groovy bass complement the beat. The guitar work is awesome in this track and very clean and well-composed, and the transitions are simply marvelous. The chorus is very nostalgic, and the vocal harmonizing in a few parts is breathtaking. This song resembles the sound of the bands like Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Nirvana, and many more as it is a very energetic track and very cool and hip.
“Drown” is a great composed song that proudly carries the grunge and rock flag. The way each instrument counterparts each other is magical and the vocal completes the composition into a beautiful piece of musical work.
