Chicago-based electronica and indie pop artist Scan It delivers unique melodies with EP DE, released on Dec 12. Comprising two tracks, this EP showcases Scan It engages us with effortless and catchy beats, dreamy synths, and sultry vocals into a unique and engaging sound.

The opening track, “It’s Pretty Much Meant To Be,” introduces listeners to Scan Its intriguing lazy tone and syrupy high voice. Strumming guitars and catchy drum beats create a laid-back atmosphere, while dreamy synths add a touch of relaxation to the overall vibe. The stand-out lyrics, “I am never giving up on you/Never giving up.We both like the same new song,” get us relating to the song. But then a robotic female voice from a device vocalizes a signal and brings an abrupt end to the track.

The EP begins second track kicks off with a playful and romantic chorus, immediately capturing the listener’s attention. The upbeat chorus, accompanied by catchy beats, sets a lively tone. With the verses come a sultry and high female voice singing “come to me” with a desperate desire. The subsequent ticking clock and suspenseful music recede to illustrate the passage of time that passes without our loved ones. We come back to reality where the year is also drawing to a close. The track effectively communicates an emotional message about seizing the moment and getting closer to loved ones.

Scan It has recently debuted with singles “PLAYER” and “Your Grooving Way.” And they are already catching fire. Their latest release has already captured our attention with its light and cheery ambiance. Let’s keep the fire lit with EP DE by the rising star, Scan It.
