4. For most artists, originality is first preceded by a phase of learning and, often, emulating others. What was this like for you? How would you describe your own development as an artist and music maker, and the transition towards your own style, which is known as HIPHOP?
JUMBOKJAY:
It was hard cuz there’s nothing really new under the sun and if you look long enough you might find some other musicians I sound like.
The new vibe that i feel like i bring to the world is my lyric rhyme pattern and my experiences
5. What’s your view on the role and function of music as political, cultural, spiritual, and/or social vehicles – and do you try and affront any of these themes in your work, or are you purely interested in music as an expression of technical artistry, personal narrative, and entertainment?
JUMBOKJAY:
when you travel around the world you find that must country have a specific sound that’s found in that country like makosa from cameroon
I feel the try sound is one of the most reason to bring tourism to that era
And even do you find specific song in specific area of the world it’s still dost no mean you can’t you it’s in your own music because music is a spiritual thing, and cant be own by anyone or place
Music is meant to be shera else it would not be music
