The SinicTones are a hard rock band bringing out the edge of Black Sabbath from their early days, and the sinister aspects of Halloween-themed guitar riffs. I must commend the instrumental aspects of their EP “FEMME FATALE”. It has a vibrant roll-and-roll aesthetic that manages to blend the grit of classic rock, with a slightly modern twist of punk.
Opening with tracks such as “She Devil”, the band’s love for horror and punk rock is evident from the start. But for some reason, I felt like it would blend beautifully if signed on to the dance sequence from the recent hit TV show “Wednesday” and the dance sequence that followed. This is because the show’s premise follows a dark and rather supernatural theme to it, so the band’s dance rock style guitar riffs and gothic-pop-style vocals will connect naturally. The EP so far has such an interesting vibe, and it exploded even further with “Your Fantasy”. It is a fast-paced number filled with excellent guitar solos. The track manages to put you in this trance of musical poetry and a dash of psychedelia from the band’s alluring musical aura.
The melancholic bass intro of “The Angel of Despair” was stellar. In combination with the trippy guitar bits, you’ve surely got a recipe for rock and roll bliss. I enjoy building colorful images in my head while hearing melodies. Thus, while hearing the EP “FEMME FATALE” by The SinicTones, my inner self kept envisioning witches and wizards and how’d they fill up a ballroom with gothic pop and dance the night away with wands in their hands.
