Gemini by Claire Heffernan: Review
Claire Heffernan is the artist responsible for all of the vocals, as well as the Irish harp and piano, for the beautiful acoustic single titled โGemini.โ It has dramatic low points, exciting high points, and heartfelt low points all in one song. The musician said that his long time away from the studio because of COVID was at first discouraging, but, in the end, it gave her time to โrethink the song and the whole EPโ and make โmore ambitious musical arrangementsโ while she waited to go back there.ย ย
โGeminiโ was released on November 17, 2022. The song is a pop folk song. It starts with a beautiful piano piece accompanied by the impressive vocals of Claire Heffernan, who sings like Celtic singers with a hypnotic and dreamy vibe. The guitar fillers and the sound of the harp give the track a distinctive sound.
The song talks about breakups and how to get out of them or be free; the artist processed her post breakup feelings through the making of this track. Heffernanโs skill as a composer is on full display here, and the layered harmonies that make the piece better are a big part of the reason why.
This new track takes cues from a wide variety of musical inspirations. For example, there are both modern piano and vocals with a soulful, contemporary vibe and Celtic harp backing.
The track โGeminiโ is a soft song with peaceful instrumentation and a dreamy vibe to it that will make the listeners feel calm and content.
