Hemophilia by GLDN: Review
After the success of their first EP, First Blood, industrial punk band GLDN announced the release of their remix album Hemophilia in September. The album delves deeper into the dark depths featuring dangerous concepts, and showcasing the extreme elements of life and death through severe manipulation of music, by reimagining the twisted delights of the First Blood EP and releasing a collection of powerful covers and thrilling new original tracks. GLDN brings depth into everything he does align with the darkness of its title, building on themes explored in his previous release, and showcasing even more of his musical talent.
The new original compositions provide a sneak preview of GLDNโs sinister musical evolution. Even though some people get quite defensive whenever the subject of suicide comes up, itโs an issue that has to be discussed because of how itโs still prevalent, especially with the uprising of global issues. The band skillfully incorporates a wide range of musical textures and styles into their creepy web of heavy sounds, from soft piano melodies and trap drumming to eerie synthesizers and demonic screams.
Dark and gloomy bands like Evanescence, Rob Zombie, Pantera and Korn, and many more, inspire GLDNโs music and themes. Heโs a New York City resident, who conceptualized and launched their project in 2017 and took their time to become a well-received live band.
