Wandering Aengus by Herald K: Review
It’s that time of the year again, fallen leaves beneath your feet, and a sweet breeze greeting us right outside a doorstep. Hence, do you know what goes along with this somber weather? Songs that make us feel enlightened and cozy. This is where our story begins with Herald K, an indie-folk artist who sings with a wholesome voice, and plays a tune on the acoustic guitar that’ll warm you right up.
“Wandering Aengus” is Herald K’s acoustic-guitar-driven track. It’s a chill one at that too, once you hear the crisp plucking of the guitar strings, and the atmospheric sliding noises from the lap steel guitar too, it’ll straight up give you goosebumps. “Wandering Aengus” has no percussion arrangement, and that’s just fine. This is because a melody as such should remain blank in the drumming department. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have made sense. There are some minimal notes being played in Double Bass, and it has a nice subtle effect that goes along with the minimal nature of the track.
The specialty of Herald’s voice blending with the guitar’s clean tone is all you need to get the fall day started. His music is perfect to listen to with a latte in hand, and wide open spaces as a background to reside in. Furthermore, there is an intriguing detail about the track’s origin, it is a poem by William Butler Yeats which was the inspiration for “Wandering Aengus”. Therefore, sit back, relax and let this poetic tune fill you up with pleasant vibes.
