In The Dance by Jenni Dale Lord Band: Review
After years of conquering the world with her successful solo music career, Jenni Dale Lord traveled from Austin to Lubbock, Texas, where she met her fellow musicians.ย Jenni Dale Lord Band was created, with Lord as lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist, Judson Eddins as electric guitarist, Andrew Manson as bass player and backing vocalist, Aaron Dick as key player and backing vocalist, and Terry Moore as drummer and percussion. Their latest single โIn The Dance,โ off the eponymous album, is yet another magnificent demonstration of their talent and distinct personality.
Jenni Dale Lord Band are brilliant entertainers on stage, and they bring that same intensity to their music. Everyone seems to be having a great time playing and singing, and this translates to a rich, intimate, and spirited performance. It seemed as if listeners were watching them live on stage. The steady drumming, swinging guitars, and earnest, heartfelt vocal harmonies are a nostalgic mix of country, folk, and blues vibes, as well as possibly others. Even Lord admits that she incorporates so many influences in her music that categorizing it can be difficult. However, this is also the reason her songs are so relatable and genuine, and so well received by listeners. โIn The Danceโ was inspired by one of her friends who died from brain cancer. Itโs all about living in the now and trying to enjoy it to the fullest no matter what life throws at us. It is a joyful and uplifting track that you should listen to right away.
