IN THE VIDEO โROCKY ROAD,โ MONEYBAGG YO AND KODAK BLACK narrate their rise to fame.
Moneybagg Yo has released an album every year for the past four years, and he plans to make it five in 2022. Big Speaker returned to the streets on Monday (May 16), with the evocative โRocky Road,โ featuring the in-demand Kodak Black.
Over piano-laden production by Mook On The Beat, the Memphis native and Kodak muse on taking the road less traveled to prominence.
In the Young Chang-directed film, Moneybagg gives Kodak a CMG chain while they both rap from a rooftop, while a parallel storyline depicts a murder over a minor quarrel during a dice game.
Big Bag even admits that his fiancรฉe Ari Fletcher wants to start a family, but heโs too focused on collecting the money right now and doesnโt think the time is right.
On the second verse, he raps, โAri want another baby but Iโm too busy chasing paper/Well, maybe, not right now, perfect timinโ might come later.โ
Moneybagg Yo also made an appearance on Apple Musicโs Beats 1 to discuss his latest collaboration with Kodak, following their collaboration on โLower Levelโ in 2018.
โWhenever I work with Kodak, thereโs chemistry,โ he stated. โItโll be OK.โ I wanted to do something different than โLower Level.โ When we got in there and did it, it probably took us about two weeks. It turned out well. Iโm looking forward to hearing the song. It feels like a warm-up.โ
Moneybagg is expected to release another single soon, as well as a โsurprise full-lengthโ project.
