It Moves In You by Mark Winters: Review
The rocket scientist indie rocker Mark Winter continues to combine his optimism and positive attitude toward life with equally positive lyrics and rocking guitar jams to create inspiring tunes. From his sophomore album Boundary Layer, he gifts us with a mellow romantic song, It Moves in you.
A catchy, romantic song, It Moves In You’s lyrics are sure to move you with their emotional weight. The song revolves around that certain someone you know who moves in a certain way that is irresistible, that draws you in, and it puts you in a dream-like state. Mark Winter’s poetic songwriting approach is evident in this track just like the rest of the album. This time he gives the listeners a glimpse of his romantic side. The melody is smooth and deep, but still strong. Straying from his usual energetic upbeat style of compositions, Mark Winter went with a more mellow slow-dance ballad with this song’s arrangement that fits the lyrical theme of the song. With the seductive guitars backed by steady drums and the piano, he went full lover boy on this one once again breaking the stereotype that scientists don’t have emotions.
