‘Keeper,’ a song by Toosii, praises pure and genuine love. This is Toosii’s first new song in the year 2022.

“Keeper,” Toosii’s first single of 2022, is out now. The lushly ambient track, complete with mesmerizing percussion, honors the discovery of the person with whom you desire to spend your golden years.
The song reminds us that the 22-year-old Syracuse-born, Raleigh-based musician is a “keeper” – a constantly evolving, constantly surprising career artist who grinds like he’s up next but has already arrived.
The “Keeper” official video delves into what makes someone a “keeper.” Toosii’s performance of the song is combined with footage of several couples, at various stages of their relationships—including Toosii and his girlfriend Samaria—living out their love in real life, directed by Brian Robles, who previously directed the videos for Toosii’s “Sapiosexual” and “Shallow.”
In Atlanta, he recorded “Keeper” with The Loopholes, who previously worked with Toosii on his 2021 mixtape, Thank You For Believing, which was praised by The Fader, Complex, and The Source. Thank You For Believing: The Manifestation, a deluxe edition of the mixtape that includes 10 additional original songs, was released later.
Toosii is one of rap’s most sympathetic emerging performers, with a flair for soaking true lyrics in rich emotion. He joined XXL’s prestigious Freshman Class in 2021. He performed at Rolling Loud Miami and LA, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, and finished his first U.S. headline tour, which included sold-out gigs in New York City, Chicago, Washington, DC, Boston, Houston, and Orlando by the end of the year. The three-track capsule Pretty Girls Love Toosii, released in December 2021, extended Toosii’s hot streak.
“He’s one of the strongest young faces growing in the rap business, dazzling the people with his emotive melodies and raw narrative,” HotNewHipHop observed. “Rising rapper Toosii is taking over the rap universe,” VMAN claimed.
