Larry & Joe released catchy new single ‘Caballo Viejo’
“You guys shouldn’t give up on an old horse. It can get crazy with new love.” The song ‘Caballo Viejo’ by Simรณn Diaz, arguably the most well-known Venezuelan song ever, has that as its main theme. The song hits a little bit differently thanks to two folk music legends who only connected after having everything taken from them. Even though they aren’t quite “old horses,” they aren’t quite as young either.
When they first met in December 2021, they became instant friends. Charlie Hunter, a legend of jazz guitar, produced Larry & Joe’s debut album, ‘Nuevo South Train’, which is scheduled for release in the first half of 2023.
On November 4, ‘Caballo Viejo’, the album’s lead single, became available on all major streaming services. It is an illustration of how our cultural differences, when combined, make us stronger. It features an unlikely and probably unheard-of fusion of harp and banjo.
