Leo Nazz by Leo Nazz: EP Review

The eponymous EP by Leo Nazz is gaining attention throughout the world. This playthrough took five years to complete and is a reflection of the artist’s whole existence. The semi-autobiographical EP delves into several aspects of Nazz’s life, including his dealing with a breakup and relationship issues, as well as his thoughts on single parenting and sharing a home with someone who suffers from a mental health disorder.
The goal of this EP for Nazz is to make an emotional connection with listeners via the sharing of his life experiences. This outstanding singer-songwriter, from the opening track’s ‘I wanted to be honest’ to the closing track’s ‘I don’t mind’, passionately and openly examines a variety of scenarios. Nazz’s melodies are kaleidoscopic, despite the tracks’ relative simplicity. His beautiful sound comes from his adaptability and ability to go beyond reality with minimalistic soundscapes. The song ‘late night summer phone call’ is one of the favorites from this EP. The purity and honesty of this song show the value of minimalism in music. The depth of feeling in Nazz’s lyrics and his vivid, genuine singing are what hook listeners. The harp and guitars provide a pleasant backdrop as Nazz takes us along on his voyage. He investigates the factors that have shaped him into the person he is now.
This EP covers a wide range of topics, from classic to contemporary music to travel to relationships to grief to exhilaration. It perfectly captures Nazz as an individual and an artist. As the EP delves into very intimate themes, the extra track ‘I don’t mind’, an emotional monologue addressed to a loved one, is a fitting end.
