Less AUTRE release a new single ‘Dualité’
Frontman Peter Fias makes a bucket list for 2019, and one of the items on that list is to form a rock band. He puts his commercial career on hold and co-founds Less AUTRE with like-minded spirits Raf, Carl, Swie, and Mattia.
Less AUTRE’s concept is novel: they present an audiovisual show that combines original material and adaptations. Songs by Joy Division, Kraftwerk, Meat Puppets, and Leonard Cohen are tastefully repackaged in a new French sleeve. Less AUTRE collaborate with producers Ronald Vanhuffel (Blöf,…) and Shelle Dierickx on their own tunes (Arno, …). They chose French, Molière’s language, because it sounds so lovely.
Less AUTRE have recently released their new track ‘Dualité.’ This song serves as the lead-in to their upcoming EP, ‘Et OUI! Ah Oui!,’ which is set to be published in the fall. Less AUTRE worked on the entire EP with producer Ronald Vanhuffel (BJ Scott, Blöf, Eliott Murphy) and sound engineer Michel ‘Shelle’ Dierickx (The Cure, Arno, Hooverphonic). ‘It was an honor to collaborate with them.’ ‘They are very accomplished and real first-class acts,’ adds Peter Fias (singer).
“Dualité is actually the first true song I ever finished, it’s about how every coin always has two sides and how bizarre the situation is…you can always choose,” Peter says of the song. Of course, everyone hears what he or she wants. “The song now belongs to the listener; we had the honor of creating it,” Peter Fias says.
Less AUTRE’s band members have also struck a deal with The Orchard, a major music distribution organization and a Sony Music affiliate. “We are really delighted to be part of the The Orchard family,” singer Peter Fias remarked. As a result, we are overjoyed that they will release our EP.”
