Memory You’re After by Stumble Steady: Review
After a faded rhythm, the track skyrockets onto a funktastic intergalactic journey. With such a soothing voice, and elemental guitars, keys, bass, and beats, “Memory You’re After” by Stumble Steady feels like an Indie hit classic geared for the greats.
“Memory You’re After” is filled with outstanding vocal melodies and chord progressions, along with a groovy synth. This performer’s kinda-raspy voice and breathing approach to singing are incredible. It’s quite evident that he’s truly a skilled fella, and has a lovely way of moving between scales and ranges. The song’s opening is particularly interesting since it shifts from a beat structure to a beatless, to a whole other time signature, while yet maintaining a steady, even vocal performance throughout. Wow, it was incredible; I really respect that in a song and an artist. You’ll hear guitar chords, that have a strong, resonant presence. The keys are bright and provide a breath of indie daydreams to the music, allowing you to lose yourself and find some tranquility there. You’ll be singing the tune’s catchy melody on the way to class or work. And there’s no question in my mind since I’m already doing it! The final segment of the song is exciting and vibrant, and it successfully conveys an air of fantasy and an indie-pop vibe.
Stumble Steady is a delightful artist based in South Florida. He sees musical expression as a conduit for both emotional release and self-examination. Chief songwriter Garrett Kealer works with his pals and other musicians to record and play as Stumble Steady.
