Open-Minded by Felsina and LIGHT MINDED: Album Review
“Open Minded” was released on October 21, 2022 as an album and it tells the story of a journey filled with research, scouting, passion, and innovation within the electronic music scene, both in the city and in other places. This electronica-based instrumental album was recorded and mixed by LIGHT MINDED.
The first track, titled “Electron,” features a synthesizer as well as various sound experiments, and it has an ominous and foreboding atmosphere. Which has a rhythm that is slightly upbeat but ultimately soothing, and sounds like it could be the beginning of a Pink Floyd song.
The second track, “1987,” begins with a sound that is similar to a heartbeat, and then the synthesizer comes in. Following that, the bass and drum beats come in, along with it some abstract electronic vocal that continues throughout the track. Additionally, when the keys come in, it changes the vibe of the track.
The track “Rimane” is made out of a bunch of synth sounds and sustained bass noise, which creates a scary vibe with some intensity in it. In the background of the track, there is a static noise that continues through the whole song.
The album ends with the instrumental track “Interval”, it slowly starts with a synth noise that sounds like a breeze flowing, then builds up into a piece of suspense music along with some walkie talkie sounded talking.
It was a very interesting album to listen to, it will take you on a journey to sound pilgrimage. Impressive compositions with detailed sound commands in each track.
