Plastic Love ft. Stína Ágústsdóttir by AUXR: Review
Auke Riemersma is AUXR, a sensational electronica artist blending an excellent array of sounds in his track “Plastic Love.” Featuring Icelandic singer Stína Ágústsdóttir, this downtempo melody infuses equal amounts of chill and passion into the atmosphere. With mellow beats, a sultry singer directing it, and jazzy synths, “Plastic Love” is one of those songs that hooks you in from the very get-go.
Auke Riemersma rekindled his old interest in downtempo music, as part of his ongoing quest to find the sound that best represents who he is as an artist. Speaking of groove, man “Plastic Love” definitely strikes a solid one at that. You never know when time just flies by, because the song’s essence just draws you in completely. Captivating and thrilling at the same time, I truly enjoyed the musical aura of this track. Overflowing with Nu-disco, and even elements of Nu-jazz, this fresh piece creates a splendid vibe that sticks with you long after the melodies fade.
The artist captured international appeal through DJ gigs as “Auxiliary tha Masterfader.” It was only in 2021 that his new career phase necessitated a new pseudonym, so he became known as AUXR. It’s an intriguing name blending with his fascinating musical aura. Particularly, when the elements of downtempo mix with the singer’s allure and create a tension that is quite unforgettable.
