Playing With Fire by Maddy Carty: Review
The flames of melody and resonance are so strong with Maddy Carty’s hit number “Playing With Fire”. It’s such a smooth song, with jazzy vocals and the overall music structure is absolutely crazy. The non-stop thrill she puts listeners through is quite grand, and I hope that she continues to music as such. Maddy also writes music for other artists and has strong ties with big names in the industry such as Warner, Spinnin’, SKY/SATV. Her repertoire is quite sensational, and a song as good Playing with fire can take the artist a long way indeed.
Nearly a minute and the song drops a heavy bass and percussion, and it sounds just amazing. I kept rewinding just to hear that part more and more. Man! I wish I composed that. For a good breakdown or transition, you need timing. Thus, Maddy timed her song’s transition just elegantly and it’s a breeze to listen to. The entire song has a vibe that makes you want to swing your head and body to the rhythm. You know making music like that takes talent, and Maddy seems to be a veteran and an experienced artist that shows true promise.
Maddy’s lyrical style and rhythm are quite natural, and her flow is quite something. I’ve heard the song multiple times now, and I can totally see myself coming back to this song time and time again. Way to go Maddy! Who knew playing with fire could sound so darn poetic?
