Power of One by The Amanda Emblem Experiment: EP Review

“Power of One” is an incredible EP by The Amanda Emblem Experiment, an act that specializes in chill folk music. Their calming music can help you unwind after a long day, and with the added touch of songwriting, it’s inevitable to dig the record. This essence is brought on by the soothing aura of acoustic arrangements, and a thought-provoking narrative that makes you think.
The EP begins with the title track “Power of One,” and what follows is the tranquility of a folk melody. A gentle singer grabs the mic, and clean guitars tag along to solidify that experience. Apart from that, groovy fillers grace the tune and it’s an effortless song to vibe to altogether. The next piece “Empty House” generates a bit of funk, and folk intertwines to form an incredible melodic bond. Through a reggae style tempo, acoustic chords accompany, and a playful whistle too! “Hang Your Hat” has a special connection with country music, where the lead elements and harmonica playing pay homage to the genre’s classic hits. Eventually, the EP took an exciting turn for rock and roll with the song “Mitchell Creek Blues.” It’s a bonafide blues rock track that’ll groove your soul and get you up and moving in a second. This is because of the hyped vocals and stellar guitar bits.
The Amanda Emblem Experiment are your go-to artist for feel-good folk music. So, do check out their music, fam!
