Qeeran releases soulful new song ‘RIGHT HERE’
Qeeran, a queer musician from Melbourne, releases his newest song, ‘RIGHT HERE’. The track was produced, written, mixed, and mastered by Qeeran in his home studio and features a tranquil fusion of classic R&B and Lofi. Written about the difficulties of growing up and the uncertainty surrounding the start of one’s 20s, Qeeran describes his struggle and success in discovering himself and remaining in the present moment – not living in the lives of others and not attempting to be a version of himself that did not exist. For followers of Galimatias, Sabrina Claudio, and Alina Baraz
The song ‘RIGHT HERE’ was started at the beginning of 2022, but he purposefully delayed its release until the year’s end because he wanted to do it when he felt the most at peace with himself and the most authentic version of himself. It’s a deeply personal song that explores how much Qeeran lost while trying to live a life that wasn’t his, not only for himself but also for others. He admired the song’s unpredictable switch-ups because they reflected the year’s ups and downs, from optimistic to uncertain to conclusive. This was undoubtedly one of the more challenging songs to produce technically, but he is overjoyed with the end result. Qeeran will continue to use the switch-up in his upcoming songs, and Alina Baraz’s influence shines through on this song once more.
