Red Mercury released entrancing new song ‘Follow Me’
During the lockdown hell of 2020, the electronic duo Red Mercury was born in the creative crucible of London’s Notting Hill Gate. They value looking for vintage analog or modular hardware on late-night Gumtree dumpster dives just as much as they value a Pastel De Nata & Galo. In their own West London studio, not far from Kensington Palace and the Iranian Embassy, they mix and blend their special formula.
Steve and Isobel used a variety of settings, from the rough streets of Paris to the Scottish Highlands, to showcase their visual creativity. In this masterful video, the city’s shadowy side flickers like a magic lantern show, alternately grotesque and eerie reflected in glass and concrete. All of this and more can be seen in their most recent release, a cover of Massive Attack’s timeless song ‘Teardrop’. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, they traveled to Budapest to record with an 80-piece symphony orchestra! They unveiled the stunning new song ‘Follow Me’.
