RESULTS by Ellery Twining: Album Review
“RESULTS” is a stellar indie album crafted to perfection by Ellery Twining. This sensational artist combines the classic indie rock formula with a spoken-word narrative. So, imagine the thrill of deep basslines blending with psychedelic guitars, and commanding the piece is a storyteller, whose ode you must hear.
“SIXTH OF JANUARY” begins the album, and we’re off to an interesting start. A clean acoustic guitar comes on and drives the essence of the track. Aside from that, a moody bassline also tags along. Leading the cadence is a poetic vocalist. Each sequence feels like a personal anecdote straight from their soul, and the examination of society by a thoughtful human being. Furthermore, a rather LoFi chill number arrives with the title “THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE.” This time around, the guitar chords have an enchanting tone, followed by an amazing drum track. The tempo is just right, and pretty relaxed too. Thus, you can totally vibe out to this mix, and not worry about a single thing.
“S. B. BUTLER” seems like the song that stood out the most from the album. This is particularly because of its whimsical instrumental section, and colorful lyrics. The chemistry was truly creative and got me hooked on its cadence throughout its runtime.
