Silly by Mia Delamar: Review
Atlanta, Georgia has done it again by cultivating another amazing talent with delicacy and style in Mia Delamar. Being a singer-songwriter, musician, choreographer, dancer, and actor, Mia Delamar is an all-around talent that truly deserves to be recognized, especially when we examine her single, ‘Silly’.
‘Silly’ takes you on a journey, where one starts to reflect on their relationships. This song provides a fascinating narrative about a lady making the wrong decisions to who she devotes her heart. Taking us on a trip helps us realize that loving someone who is undeserving of her time has personal repercussions. This is an uplifting song that should be used as a caution to stay loyal to yourself and not get caught up in a relationship. This theme is carried over into the accompanying music video, which has Mia Delamar dancing to the smooth beat while using edgy and eye-catching visuals, including what might be called an artistic metaphor of smoke and mirrors.
Drawing inspiration from classical R&B and pop rap, this well-crafted track tells a very common story that we hear almost every day, with the dense hip-hop style beat and clap background trap, presented along with some catchy lyrics and warm vocals, add up to one of the most enjoyable listening experiences, immediately taking us to the 90s and 2000s vibe that cannot be seen much nowadays.
