Someone I’d Recognise by Isak’s Island: Review

“Someone I’d Recognise” is a charming indie-folk song by Isak’s Island. It’s an interesting blend of acoustic timbres and storytelling that should keep you company in times of need. For instance, the track’s soothing cadence of guitars, mandolins, and violins will keep you cozy for long road trips across the country. Especially if you’re traveling by yourself and need a melodic acquaintance, then you cannot go wrong with “Someone I’d Recognise.”

Opening a book and being captivated by the first page is a clear indicator that you will feel joy with each read. The same can be said with music and its strong essence. This is where Isak’s Island comes in with their lovely piece “Someone I’d Recognise.” The song’s gentle intro instantly grabs your attention, and calms your worrisome mind. It’s a wave of clean vocals and light guitar bits followed by a playful mandolin. Altogether, the energy is pretty fascinating and overflows with folksy aura only true artists know how to create. Aside from that, an elegant violin makes an entrance to add an emotional swing to the track. Also, the tone and technique of the instrument had some connection with country or bluegrass, yet remained faithful to Isak’s Island’s folk nature.

It’s truly an enlightening experience to hear music that is fresh and unique. Thus, I highly recommend “Someone I’d Recognise” by Isak’s Island. The piece can be a terrific addition to anyone who admires indie-folk music.
