The Levy Circus’ latest album, Tales of the Unconnected, tells a story of a lifetime going from struggles, and traumas to resiliently finding happiness once more all in twelve tracks.
Fronted by Miles Levy (vocals, guitar), The Levy Circus is a five-piece band with a sound that’s both timeless and fresh.
“Looking Like Myself Again” sets the tone for the album, with shimmering guitars and an uplifting rhythm section propelling a message of overcoming adversity. Levy’s voice is filled with a newfound resilience, ready to take on the world once more after enduring much.
“Slow It Right Down” gives us a shift in gears, and offers a soothing balm for the soul. Glinting riffs intertwine with introspective lyrics, encouraging us to slow down, trust the process, and let go of anxieties about the future.
With “Seriously,” Levy gets sincere and also sweet with the joy of finding true love. The catchy melody and heartfelt vocals make it an instant earworm. He sings, “You are the only one I love seriously.”
“Wouldn’t Change a Thing” closes Tales of the Unconnected on a reflective note. Soothing piano chords accompany a vocalist looking back on a life filled with memories, both good and bad. With a partner by their side, the sentiment is clear: they wouldn’t change a thing.
The Levy Circus is no stranger to the stage. They’ve graced the stages of BBC Introducing events, local radio stations like BBC Radio Leicester and BBC Radio Northampton, and festivals like the Gate to Southwell and the Woodstock Festival (UK).
Listen to Tales of the Unconnected and let The Levy Circus connect you to very relatable experiences and show you how to get out of misery.
