The Big Picture by Elad David: EP Review
Elad David, an Israeli musician, and producer, has released a new album titled “The Big Picture.” Four out of the five songs on the EP were already released, but now he combines them all in a colorful canvas of instrumentals, which reflects Elad’s wide range of musical interests.
In “The Big Picture” he stands out with the way he uses enriched tones and colors to create novel textures and an uplifting ambiance. The electric guitar wizardry of Elad David, in a lengthy solo, is displayed here. Powerful electronic beats and soaring synthesizer progressions complement the electric guitar virtuosity well. The use of other live instruments, such as trumpet and saxophone, in the given musical compositions and technique, gives the music an organic taste, hinting at his 3 years of experience at the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. The symbiotic relationship between the funky rhythm and seductive melodies in the impulsive and vivid musical portions creates a unique character and profound atmosphere.
Elad has been a part of a wide variety of rock bands throughout the years, from classical to grunge to Israeli rock and beyond. In addition to his work with Solix and 306°, the singer-songwriter-creator has participated in a wide range of other projects. He plays bass guitar, ukulele, and a variety of other guitars professionally, and is in demand as a session musician and performer for high-quality productions. So be sure to catch Elad and his 5-piece “The Big Picture” on Spotify right now!
