The Days We Remember by Kaiyah Mercedes: Review
Kaiyah Mercedes, remember the name ladies and gents because her voice can soothe your worries away. From Melbourne, Kaiyah is a talented musician who shows exceptional skill and promise. In her song “The Days We Remember” she reminisces about the events of a memorable summer, and the people she holds dear to her. Immediately, when the acoustic guitar strums and Kaiyah’s voice blesses us, you can feel her emotions through her voice. As she sings about her thoughts, we are driven to her universe, where the stories shared are one to remember for a lifetime.
“The Days We Remember” doesn’t have any percussion, and it doesn’t need one. This is because the song’s element lies within the softness and heartwarming nature that it is devoted to. Thus, it is that devotion that is driven by a vibrant acoustic guitar, and some piano rhythm too. The song truly shines, and it is unbelievable that at such a young age Kaiyah’s musical ability shows sensational caliber.
When I was 16 years old, I performed at my friend’s birthday party, and he asked me to stop! Although I’m a lot better now, the point is, you know what Kaiyah was able to accomplish at the same age? Well here’s a gist folks – The likes of 4ZZZ Brisbane, Joy FM, RTR FM Perth, and 3CR have all played Kaiyah’s songs on the radio. Incredible right? Her song “The Days We Remember” is streaming on Spotify, don’t miss it!
