Solo project Del’Noire, helmed by Matyascorvinus, introduces you to their hauntingly beautiful world with their debut single, “The Haunting of Del’Noire,” released this April 8. The mastermind conveys the 70s Finnish schlagers’ strings, 70s and 80s disco music, EDM, trance, and other similar gothic aesthetics through programmed piano and string arrangements and pulsating beats.
The first track, “The Raven Stone,” sets the tone with slow gothic string sounds that build into a crescendo of pulsating beats. As the piano adds vibrant, upbeat keys to the mix, you can’t help but feel drawn into the darkness. The haunting melodies and pounding rhythms create an atmosphere of endless engagement, pulling you deeper into the world of Del’Noire.
“A Strange, Bitter Kiss” follows with a contemplative piano melody that dances over thumping beats. The frolic of the keys provokes thought, while the strings add a melancholic undercurrent to the music. As the song unfolds, it feels like you’re being carried through a story, each note revealing a new layer of emotion and intrigue.
Finally, “A Letter To Mina” envelops you in its cinematic atmosphere, with piano keys pattering over trailing strings. The deep tones pierce the song with a weight that makes the atmosphere heavy yet undeniably captivating. It’s as if the music is telling a sincere dramatic message dedicated to someone special.
