The Red Death by C0ntrary: Review
The debut single by Contrary โThe Red Deathโ was released on 21st November 2022. With its unique sound and style, the Contrary is starting to make some noise in the music world. As a solo artist and mainly as a drummer the track โThe Red Deathโ was inspired by Edgar Allen Poeโs โThe Masque of the Red Deathโ.
The song is more like an art piece, with a bit of hip-hop, electronic style, and a loose bass sound that will make your body move with the bass notes and groove. This track has been experimented with and then given life to, which is not an easy task to do. The lyrics talk about the red death which was a plague and say how it will affect the human population. It is also related to how the basic demons in human beings will bring them down one day.
The song has an appealing hook and a contagious chorus, with artistic lyrics which were all written and composed by C0ntrary, trying to attract a lot of listeners who are into grim-like music and have an open mind to exploring various genres. Even though the vocal could be a little better tune and tone-wise.
However, when the song starts with a hum and the vocalist started to rhyme the lyrics was something unique and create a dark environment. The lyrics go hand in hand with the music. This track will shake up the soul and sound of the music world in the hope that Contrary will appeal to the new generationโs tastes and preferences.
