The Twist to the Glitch by DeEtta Jain: Review
DeEtta Jain (who prefers the pronunciation dee-yetta jane) is a creative artist with a heart full of evocative emotions. The thought that some of us may actually be reality glitches is what โThe Twist to the Glitchโ refers to in Jainโs perspective.
โThe Twist to the Glitchโ begins with an exceptionally synthesized and pop-style arrival. Beautifully vibrant tones emanate from Jainโs voice, and the scene comes alive with a surge of energy as the fast tempo of the beat goes off. Once the rhythm kicks in, the whole song turns into a Pop and Dance sensation awaiting listeners to be awestruck. The track has this feeling of transporting you to a tropical island party where everyone is vibing and new connections are formed via the shared experience of the music. There are some gentle keyboard pieces played during the transitions, and the transitions as a whole have a very mystical reverb effect present in them. Once you begin to enter Jainโs world, you begin to comprehend the source of her lyricism, which is an exceptional auditory experience. Her energy and vibrations are what give the music its life.
There is a sudden demise of the entire rhythm, followed by an ominous interlude in which the song fades in and out. Here, Jainโs degree of artistic independence is on display. This song features a sound effect that is eerily reminiscent of a โglitch in the matrixโ and it is endearing in the extreme. I thought the track had ended after that until it came back for one last round.
